About WAITS
Launched by IIEP in 2011, the Washington Area International Trade Symposium (WAITS) serves as a key forum for showcasing cutting-edge trade research from institutions across the Washington, DC area. Past participants have included researchers from George Washington University, American University, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Census Bureau, the Federal Reserve Board, Georgetown University, George Mason University, the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Johns Hopkins University (SAIS), the U.S. International Trade Commission, the University of Maryland, and the World Bank.
