Robert Orttung, Director of the Sustainability Research Institute, published “Governance agency in a contested cruise destination: a legitimacy-evolutionary approach” with Jim Powell, Salvador Anton Clavé, and Seleni Matus, in collaboration with the GW Alliance for a Sustainable Future. The findings were subsequently carried in The Bridge: A Hospitality and Tourism Intelligence Digest, which drew out how community trust shapes cruise ship operations.
