Jonathan Aiken

Jonathan Aiken is a Partner and Head of the London office at BDA Partners. Mr Aiken has extensive experience in corporate finance, and is recognized for his expertise in cross-border M&A. His oversight role in London includes a broad range of sectors including industrials, technology, sustainability and consumer. Based in Europe, he connects transaction deal flows coming into and out of Europe. He has a strong track record in complicated, cross border corporate divestments and working with international clients, including those based in Asia.

Mr Aiken and the BDA London team currently work with Envision to empower young people from less advantaged backgrounds, who are often under-represented in the world of work, to develop their essential skills and confidence they need to succeed.

Mr Aiken holds an MBA and a Masters in International Affairs from the George Washington University. He previously studied Political Science and Chinese as an undergraduate in California. His early education was in Canada in a bilingual environment. He is fluent in English and French and proficient in Mandarin.

Mr. Aiken has been based in London for the past 16 years having worked previously in Washington DC and Los Angeles. He has lived abroad in Beijing, Singapore and Taipei. In his spare time, he can be found working on his North London allotment, at a performance in London or walking long distance trails across the UK.
