Ambassador Batu Kutelia is a Senior Fellow at the Delphi Global Research Center. He is the founder of a U.S.-based company advancing small modular reactor (SMR) projects and energy innovation. A former Ambassador of Georgia to the United States, Canada, and Mexico, he was recognized by the U.S. 111th Congress for strengthening the U.S.–Georgia strategic partnership. During his public service (1996–2013), he held senior national security positions, including Head of Georgia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, First Deputy Minister of Defense, Deputy Foreign Minister, and Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council. A McCain Institute Next Generation Leader Fellow, he holds a PhD in Physics and an MPA. He is fluent in English, Russian and Georgian languages.
