Registration and Payment

ONLINE PRINCIPLES PROGRAMS

The Institute for International Economic Policy (IIEP) offers online micro- and macroeconomics programs for Elliott School and other GW students, that satisfies economic prerequisties. An overview of the programs can be found here.

IIEP also offers self-paced economic review programs. Click here to register for one of those. The review programs do not satisfy Elliot economic prerequisites.

Payment Guidelines Policies

Students may register for these programs by submitting payment via the online portal. The portal is available here, or by clicking the “Payment Page” button below. After submitting payment, students will receive instructions regarding access to all relevant program materials within 24 hours of payment.

General refund guidelines for online programs

  • If a student withdraws more than 10 days in advance of the start date of the program, a $200 charge will be applied and the remainder refunded.
  • If a student withdraws less than 10 days in advance of the start date of the program, a 50% refund will be provided.
  • If a student withdraws after the start date of the program, a 33 percent refund will be provided.

Students must send an email to iiep@gwu.edu to cancel their participation.

Principles of Economics Online Program (June 1st– August 19th)

Full cost: $1300. Register here

  • Withdrawal before midnight May 21: Refund of $1100
  • Withdrawal between midnight May 21 and midnight June 1: Refund of $650
  • Withdrawal between midnight June 1 through end of program: Refund of $433
First Session (June 1st – July 8th)

Principles of Microeconomics Online Program (June 1st – July 8th

Full cost: $850. Register here.

  • Withdrawal before midnight May 21 : Refund of $650
  • Withdrawal between midnight May 21 and midnight June 1: Refund of $425
  • Withdrawal between midnight June 1 through end of program: Refund of $283

Principles of Macroeconomics Online Program (June 1st  – July 8th

Full cost: $850. Register here.

  • Withdrawal before midnight May 21 : Refund of $650
  • Withdrawal between midnight May 21 and midnight June 1: Refund of $425
  • Withdrawal between midnight June 1 through end of program: Refund of $283
Second Session (July 15th – August 19th)

After submitting payment, students will receive instructions regarding access to all relevant program materials within 24 hours of payment.

MICRO PRINCIPLES REVIEW

This program cost $400 for access to pre-recorded videos as well as problems sets and answer keys.  This program is nota substitute for a microeconomics prerequisite and is intended only for those who have already completed a microeconomics course. Participants will have access to the materials through January 1st2020. 

 

MACRO PRINCIPLES REVIEW

This program cost $400 for access to pre-recorded videos as well as problems sets and answer keys.  This program is not a substitute for a macroeconomics prerequisite and is intended only for those who have already completed a macroeconomics course. Participants will have access to the materials through January 1st2020.
